Sue Henderson has 28 years experience in the wine and beverage industries, working in Australia and in export markets of the United Kingdom, Europe, USA, Canada, China, Korea and Japan. Sue is highly skilled in both sales and marketing.

Sue’s career started as a graduate of production and marketing from Roseworthy Agricultural College, South Australia.

Her sales career began in Adelaide working for Remy Australie and David Wynn P. /L. as a sales representative for on and off premise customers. Sue was the appointed as State Sales Manager for Carlton Special Beverages in Sydney leading a team of salespeople and thereafter as Global Sales and Marketing Director for Grant Burge Wines. Sue has comprehensive experience in management of Australian and overseas key customers.

Sue’s marketing experience started as a brand manager with David Wynn. Soon a role followed as the senior brand manager at Carlton Special Beverages developing a stable of specialty beers including Matilda Bay Brewing Co., Miller, Corona Extra, Stella Artois and Asahi. After gaining significant FMCG and international marketing experience, Sue returned to wine marketing with Grant Burge Wines in 1994.

Sue worked to develop a broad sales base and grocer presence in Australia for Grant Burge. From 1999 she undertook global responsibility for the brands opening markets in the United Kingdom, Europe, USA, Canada, Korea and Japan.

Sue has advised a number of Australian and New Zealand wine companies on global sales and marketing strategy since 2006.

Sue has negotiated many significant supply and distribution contracts for both wine and beer in the global markets. She is skilled in development of the products that have a correct fit; specific to market. Sue has spent much of her career developing and implementing marketing and business plans.

Sue has participated in Board roles for Grant Burge and Prince Hill Wines. In 2011 Sue was appointed as a non executive director to Wine Australia, Australia’s global wine marketing authority.

Sue has a great passion for fine wine only tempered with a personal ambition for success in each project she undertakes.
